INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT FOR PRIVATE CLIENT. Completed
A Designer at Heart was in charge of refurbishing the whole flat in accordance to a Vastu report provided to our client by a dedicated expert.
In the living room, to obtain a more consistent look, we changed the paint where needed using rounded shapes, that have been repeated through pieces of furniture. The bathroom walls were “cut” in a specific point by a Vastu diagram’s line. To achieve the required design, we picked a set of Italian decorative tiles and changed the colour to the exact point of the wall required. To make this colour shift more fluid we used throughout the whole wall some tiles with decorative patterns. For the rest, we added brass elements finishes creating a relaxing Boheme style. We then concealed the toilet cistern in the wall, integrated the sink within the same unit, and moved the faucet on the wall right above it. We substituted the bathtub with a shower, then added storage and changed the radiator, using one with the integrated towel-holder.
The kitchen was specified by Italian Scavolini. Here it was not possible to move sink, fridge, or other elements. To avoid the kitchen space ending with the fridge's side visible from the living room, we specified a bespoke library from Scavolini. For the kitchen finishes, we got some bespoke milled panels made again by Scavolini which matched the Boheme style used in the rest of the flat. To complete it we also specified a coordinated timber frame. The kitchen worktop and the splashback have been completed in quartz. We kept the space more open and airy, adding LED strips above the shelving instead of adding closed wall units. The bedroom is painted using a relaxing colour palette. For the wardrobe nook, to find a more cost-effective solution, we specified the internal part of the wardrobe from the Ikea Pax line, and the doors were instead completed by Internideco.
